I have always wondered if Prince appeared around say places like CBGB's..? I mean all those places like Max's Kansas City Chelsea Hotel Studio 54 etc.. (which some was still opened when he was doing his thing) To me it just seemed like Prince would have fit right in with all the artists around those places.
does anyone know of any history about this? I just seems like He would have somehow meet other artist of this time. not much on the web of course.

i've never heard much about prince making the new york nightclub scene...he's never been big on new york, it seems like he's more of a west coast person in terms of where he likes to party and be seen.

Isnt the NY club scene seen as one of the few places that 1st embraced the dirtymind album and tour? I remember reading that lots of artists came out to watch him play e.g. Warhol, blondie etc...

thank you thats what i was thinking i don't know for sure but i just sense something there and i think i've read it somehwere. like i said not much about that on the web. i am not saying that prince liked newyork in that "cool' fake' way but the places i mentioned was real and raw back in that era and so is prince u know.
