Well have to find out on May 29, 2009. It sure would be nice. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

i saw in the media that some folks are saying that NBC is out of their minds to let Jay Leno go, ABC is hot on his tail now to get him .. but.. i think NBC didnt like all the jokes Jay told about the network ....

I've been watching Jay Leno on The Tonight Show ever since he took over from Johnny. Although I haven't seen the media that you speak of, if I'm not mistaken (as I'm sure I'll be corrected if I am), Jay made the decision to retire from The Tonight Show roughly 5 years ago, when he announced that he had chosen Conan O'Brien to take over once he retired. He didn't start making all the "NBC" jokes until quite sometime after that. Back when he made the "Conan" announcement, he said he was doing it so far in advance as to avoid the type of conflict that resulted between he and David Letterman when Johnny Carson was retiring (when Jay & Dave started feuding over who would take over Johnny's spot). I believe Jay leaving NBC was his choice, and the jokes that followed were just a matter of "Jay Being Jay".

ABC now is trying to get him, will Jay turn down their offer? dunno ... and already (dunno if it's totally official yet).. NBC is supposedly getting Rosie O'Donnell (for her own show) to follow Conan .. in case Conan flops.. why do all this, when u can just keep Jay? [Edited 8/24/08 19:36pm]

I think Conan O' Brien is a Prince fan, so let's hope Prince will remain a semi-regular on the Tonight Show.
Looking forward to seeing Conan in an earlier time slot, he is quite a bit more funny than Leno, and I have trouble staying up past Leno. merf

[Edited 8/24/08 19:36pm] Jay doesn't want to be kept, not by NBC anyway. Besides, at this point NBC couldn't afford Jay, lol. Not sure how Conan will do. Personally for me, Conan was done once Andy left his side, besides being a jerk. And as for Rosie...

I never liked him. We used to get The Tonight Show on CNBC in Europe and I never found him funny. We don't even get Letterman now either But Jonathan Ross is better than them, just less regular.

That would be like the ultimate appreciation for Prince if he was invited on the last day of Leno. I don't think he will, but it would be awsome!
