Are there any prince-jams dealing with death/afterlife!

Hi Folks,

Eye am making up a list of songs Eye want them 2 play on my funeral and since Eye am big Prince-fam Eye would like 2 include a jam of his. So my question is: R there songs dealing with trading the present 4 the eternal haunting grounds in other words: dying/afterlife/heaven etc etc.

Just wondering

God 'vocal' (B Side)

Holy River

There's Others Here With Us..although that is way 2 creepy 4 a funeral.

Venus De Milo is nice instrumental 4 a funeral or wedding. My ex boy told me he wanted 2 marry me 2 that one.

Annasteisa

The Ladder

"LOVE THY WILL BE DONE" IS VERY VERY PEACEFUL!!

The Line (a little fast for a funeral)

God Is Alive (a little rockish 4 a funeral)

The Last December

Sensual Everafter

cant think of no' mo' 4 right now...
Straight Jacket Funk Affair

"Sometimes It Snows In April" is one of the most moving songs of his career.

I can def see that being played at a funeral/memorial service.

the track 'With This Tear' that he gave to Celine Dion is probably one of the specific tracks dealing with this subject... and it's beautiful

I think that "Wherever U go Whatever U do" off of Rave would be cool to give people a positive feeling. Make them feel like a part of you would always be with them

There is an outtake from around '82 I think, called 'A Better Place To Die' A lovely song which noone ever seems to mention. I have it on cassette somewhere.

Also, there is 'Another Lonely Christmas' - but you'd have to time your 'passing' rather well to get away with that one.

The accurate title for that song is 'Moonbeam Levels'.
