Diamonds & Pearls Tour Manchester UK 1992 (16 Year Aniversary) This was the first Prince live show i was fortune 2 See.
I have seen him six times after, but nothing compares 2 this show. Not only was it Princes biggest show (30'000 + attendance) in the UK all-time. But it was most memroable, the cerography was genius! The Stage was massive outdoor (Former Manchester Citys Soccer ground). With 2 monsterous/gigantic greek women symbols. Loads of pycadelic patters on many screens. The first time i saw Prince on stage it was wounderful, took my breath away. My first instinct was, he looks amazing! Biggest prettiest eyes i ever saw, dressed in a bright yellow suit. The only way i could describe it was magical, he looked like an Alien! The show was such a success dat all the local news papers had Princes show on the cover! Thus Sexy Mf was released dat week & the concert helped push the single to the top ten, and number 1 music video. This concert made me & my best friend fans 4 life! I remember it came to Glasgow Celtic Park...my first Prince concert too.One of the messages that came up on the big screen was "England Rocks" probably not one of the smartest things to proclaim in Scotland  Everytime i came up on the screen the whole of Parkhead booed.Not in a nasty way though it was quite funny.Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!
