Yes, i used to think he said Vous etre belle, and I was studying French at the time and thought, hey thats wrong, but then I realised it was Vous etes tres belle which sounds almost the same but is gramatically correct.

it's worth picking up the parade sheet music if you get a chance, as far as i know it's the only way you can get officially published lyrics for this album

There were quite a few lyrics i had misheard before i got the score!

there's a nice picture in it too that i haven't seen elsewhere

The non-album photograph on page 1 of the sheet music book copyrighted to PRN Productions was sold as a poster on the 1986 Parade tour.
ALT+PLS+RTN: Pure as a pane of ice. It's a gift.

you were on the other side of the room

You danced so strong

I smelt your perfume

your smile told me that i should come over and talk to you

on the dance floor baby

you told me how

oh yes baby baby

sex and rest

you can't resist me

I'm sure u'll love it

I will wrap my legs around you baby

I will amaze you for hours

flowers in your bath

love in your arms

make love make love

where will we meet each other

And yes, frenchies probably used to talk to each other this way during the 19th century....
confuse
Is there any place of refuge one can flee from this insanity

wow, that would be an amazing poster!...if there is one tour i'd have liked to have gone to it'd be the parade tour!...i was a bit too young at the time though!

I think that translation comes from DTT's transcription for the song
which is actually wrong (or parts of it are anyway).

I corrected it myself, didn't even remember the DTT version
