Prince Videos on TV

ok..

do TV channels (VH1 Classic, VH1 Soul etc) play very few prince videos?

or

am i just less easy to satisfy because i am a fan of him in particular?

hmmm

...i think i'm far from the "fanatic" level of fandom, but i do realize when you appreciate someone's art to a certain extent, it can alter your veiw on things a bit (for ex: standing alone, most prince albums are pretty damn good..but when an artist set his own bar high early in his career..any less will damn near look like a failure)

p.s. =>i know people will argue the example, but i am interested in how you feel about the questions concerning videos. thanx.

I would go for the second option, really. I mean, they may play few...Iunno...MJ vids (horrible example, I know) but if someone isn't a fan of his, they aren't gonna take note of that. Its just kinda a blur, they aren't gonna really zone in on it.
Every time a P vid comes on, a fan's ears are gonna perk up.

I think the only videos you're gonna see these days are new ones. Only if there is a P tribute or 80's video count down do you really get the Prince vids.

I watched Purple Rain on VH1 classic the other day and they played the 'Let's Go Crazy' Video afterwards. I've also seen When Doves Cry a couple times, and they played the video for "7," on Pop Up Video which was kinda cool, but they don't play nearly enough. I mean, regular ppl that aren't necessarily fans would enjoy 'em imo. How great is the Partyman Video!? it's hilarious!

VH1 soul spoils you a few times a year. They had that few hour long special a while ago and plus that whole weekend long special for his birthday.
Both of which I spectacularly MISSED By the way.

Yeah i saw Damm you on tv the other day. Never really cared for his hair duringthat period. I love seeing him sitting on a stool with a mic and band, its very intimate! Hope he does a tour like that. No dancers, no antics, just him and us and his sexy music razz
