What Prince song do you take the most seriously? What Prince song do you take the most seriously?
Honesty it is those songs that grab the spirit of you... Paisley Park, The Ladder, Gold, Diamonds and Pearls, Love...Resolution, and, the whole principle of "The Rainbow Children," I cannot say enough about... I wonder where DreamyPopRoyalty has gone...and I remember that her soul tattoo, as she called it...is "Gold." I thought that was sweet.  I kind of cling to that feeling also...as well as..."4 the tears in your eyes," and, "The Cross."
If we got totally personal, we may choose something "one on one" based..a love song...like "Adore," or "With You."

I take all of his songs seriously, as they are expressions of his spirit. They are to be respected for that alone. However, they do not move or influence me equally. Different thing altogether. | |

SUPRMAN-When I look at the way I asked the question...I can see why you responded that way...and I'm sure that most of us feel that way about Prince's music, however, I don't believe that anyone would choose a standard song...that they take seriously...and that's okay...a lot of Prince's music is just fun...For example...as much as I love the song...I don't say to myself..."Pop Life," Is the song that really takes over my heart... Hard to answer. I am sure others feel the same.
Sometimes its a song: Adore, Forever in my Life. Sometimes its the vibe of a song, or a melody. I would often like to have instrumentals of most of his songs, because I often hear the music float through my mind, not always the lyrics. It is complicated that I cannot distilled down to one selection. | |
