Erotic City on the radio! This morning I heard Erotic City on the local Clear Channel radio station and it absolutely made my day. It is one of my favorite songs so needless to say I wa very happy and shocked as I have only heard the song on CD. :WOOT: I just had to share my happiness with fellow Prince fans as none of my friends really understand this.

Things like that make my day too. One morning I was getting ready (and was sooo tired) Then Little Red Corvette came on, and I just sort of woke up! A lil bit after that Nothing Compares 2 U cover came on, and I said to myself, today is going to be a good day! Haha, none of my friends understand it either. -_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_

When I lived in NC, I heard "Erotic City" a couple of times late at night on the radio. It made me very hap-pay because it was so unexpected.

I just love how some radio stations still play Princes old songs. I heard I Wanna Be Your Lover like three times last month. I also hear Erotic City played alot along with When Doves Cry.

They Prince quite often around here in San Diego. Erotic City and Kiss are the favorite songs here. Come to think of it, they've played a lot of Prince here like Little Red Corvette and Let's Go Crazy. It always makes my day and whenever any of my co-workers hear him on the radio, they always call me. It's cool. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Here in Hawaii we have a classic 80's station that plays Prince all of the time. Honestly U could probably hear Erotic City every other day if not every day. When my brother was out here visiting from NYC a few months back he couldn't believe how much Prince he heard on the radio...That's another reason for the man to play a couple of shows out here-They love him...Aloha~

We have a classic 80's dance station in Boston and I heard "17 Days" the other day. I couldn't believe it. I felt like it was 1984 again. ______________________________________________

what?! please tell me which station? I woulda fallen on the floor if I'da heard 17days on the radio! dang...wish I woulda heard it. I heard pop life one night during an 80's mix or something and that about floored me too. I hear kiss, raspberry beret, when doves cry, erotic city, and let's go crazy fairly regularly but..I always wonder why they don't play his other hits...like cream, getoff, sign o the times, 7, and others? "not a fan" yeah...ok

Once I danced to "Erotic City" in a Disco where they played that tune at the very end of the night. I was the last and only person who danced to it, to the whole extended version. The few people who were still there looked at me a bit strange but after the song was finished the DJ said through the mike: "Please come to me for a moment". I went upstairs and then he asked me "Are you a Prince-Fan?" He was a fan, too, so he was very happy to see at least one person who appreciated his work so much -----------------------------------------

This station was 96.1, which seems to only play Brittney, Christina, and those boy groups. I was so happy, I thought that maybe the station was changing its format but I was wrong. Oh well, it was nice hearing a song I actually enjoy!

I've heard Nasty Girl quite alot also and it seems like music from the 80's is making a comback. Well as in fashion things come back every 20 years.

Yes, I remember Erotic City being played on the radio{censored at certain spots of course}
It's still amazing to me that "Head" from Dirty Mind got played heavily on R&B radio back in 80 and 81' uncensored.

I'm sick of radio playing only songs from Purple Rain, I dont care if it is unexpected.
But one morning WPGC (Donnie Simpson in the morning) played Soft n Wet, now that REALLY took me by surprise. ***************************************************
Seems like the overly critical people are the sheep now days. It takes guts to admit that you like something. -Rdhull ...it ain't where ya from, it's where ya at... - Rakim
