THEY"re NOT me. Maybe it didn't cost very much money for Prince and his friends that worked on this project to please some of us...I own about a hundred movies...That I consider worth keeping..."Grafitti Bridge," is one of them...but "Under the Cherry Moon," is not. cool

tame if u don't want UTCM pass it my way!!

I didn't keep it...I parted with it ten years ago...I love the music...I'm listening to "Parade," now...When I saw the movie...I was a jealous female...and the movie just reminds me of that time of my life is all...

On another note, I will say this: I LOVE the Tick, Tick, Bang performance in GB. I really do.

Same, on a second watch through (this time with my expectations ridiculously low) it was one of the (very) few enjoyable parts lol

I'll admit, it's not the best movie in the world story wise, but I still like it. It's one of those i can watch when I'm tired or sick or something and I don't want to follow a plot or something. There is no plot until 3/4 of the way into the movie! and then it's just that they're gonna battle. (if you didn't see it, sorry! I ruined it!)

I haven't seen UTCM yet, but I really want to.

Exactly.. I like the humour in UTCM. I also liked the songs.

Graffiti Bridge was OK. Ingrid Chavez was annoying.. mad

SHE WAS NOT ONLY ANNOYING BUT I DON'T EVEN THINK SHE WAS THAT FINE! HE SHOULD HAVE GIVEN JJ A BIGGER PART, LET HER BE THE LOVE INTEREST FOR A CHANGE!! HER AND KIM MOST UNDER APPRECIATED PRINCE GIRLFRIENDS!!

once kim and prince broke up, jill's part got reduced as well. ingrid's part is part jill, part kim

The performance of "Tick Tick Bang" was a real embarassment disbelief Seriously, did The Kid truly think that this was a cool way to "battle" Morris and The Time?!

there was a per4mance of the lastest fashion but never made it in2 the finally cut. it's a shame as well cause it was mad cool

1) It has no storyline - angel comes to earth to save Prince's soul, ends up saving 2 souls through sacrifice

2) Its just a bunch of music videos put together - this part is true, but that actually is its saving grace

3) Prince is an aweful director - he's not an awful director; he was just awful at directing this. The only clear vision was in Prince's head, and didn't translate at all to the screen.

4) Prince doesnt put on a very good performance - acting, no he doesn't. Singing/dancing, he shines as usual.

5) He shouldnt have done it - I agree here, although I think a long-form music with the same content might've been cool. It was like a short story compared to a novel - not enough material to fill a whole book.

And another thing i dont understand is, The Time released a full album "Pandemonium", plus like 3 tracks on the "Graffiti Bridge" soundtrack, why couldnt Prince just do us a full album? Having to skip through tracks like "Round and Round" every time i listen to the album gets a bit irritating.

I agree that Prince should've release Graffiti Bridge with only his tracks on it; it is already amazing and would've been even more so. Just make your own version like that. smile

Any of you guys thought "hey it can be that bad" only to be unpleasantly suprised?

It is definitely cringe-worth when you're watching it with others. It will turn away any prospective fans, and put casual fans to the test. They will not separate "music video" from "movie" like we can. Watch this alone, and not often.

I've heard about all the scenes/performances that were cut.I even saw a few of them boxed There's an opening performance of the song "Can't Stop This Feeling I Got" where Prince is dancing up a storm,in a white outfit. This was cut from the movie.I never saw "The Latest Fashion" clip, but I know it exists.Supposedly, this was the big battle scene between The Kid and Morris.

You know as terrible as Graffiti Bridge is, I think it got trumped this year in the all time worst movie stakes - trumped by a LONG way by Mamma Mia. You couldn't pay me to sit through that again.

I hated that movies so much that now I love it. After you completely give up any thought that this is a "movie" or even remotely "good". You can enjoy it as a Prince-geek.

It's shot on the same stage as the SOTT movie. When you look at it as a pop star making a long form video, it's cool.

I'd bet a billion dollars that Morris delivered a stronger performance than what Prince ultimately put in the movie. In fact, I'd bet the entire cast including Robin Power delivered more entertaining performances than what Prince ultimately put on the screen. We need a new cut, edited to include the deleted scenes. Prince would never do it, but he may as well. The movie can't be any worse.

i enjoy it every time i watch it, regardless of
what every one says. deep down, it says a lot about
Prince...that he's always been a spiritual person
trying to find the ladder in 1 way or another. my
fav scene is when he sings 'still would stand all
time.'
