Cleopatra...I understand your desire for Prince's material. I am a great example of a fan that has only heard officially released music...and a handful of songs considered bootlegs. I watch people on board discussing things about music and video's I am unfamiliar with.

When Prince chooses to release something, Prince's as the artist also has the prerogative to take it back...especially with technology's ability to manipulate music, that Prince did not intend to be toyed with.

If you believe that Fame has a price...and that Price is that some will respect you and your work, and other's will not...you have tagged the truth.

If the price for Fame, is younger individuals being influenced by a man that is senior to them, These music listener interpreters need a well rounded understanding of there being a time and a place for everything. Prince is fifty year old musician that only carries memories of 1978.
Prince was a 49 year old man...when He gave us, "Planet Earth." and I can believe that with the next Prince record released for his followers, the insert is not going to come with a capitalized statement that says...'GET MY BOOTLEGS SOMEWHERE TO MARRY MY PAST WITH MY TODAY!"

Prince's past was then, and is appreciated by those of us that respect the fact that Prince is a man that lives for the NOW! That's what motivates Prince along side of money being generated by his work to people that use the internet to profit from things. The respect notion is a simple one to understand...really.

i think i have just realised what this thread is about and i have to admit i am gutted that all the videos have gone (about 301 in less than 6 hours) but then all good things come to an end once people started posting the links on myspace in blogs etc its the end of it all

tbh i am really not that worried they are all still out there its just time to look a lil bit harder those who knew about it had a spoilt few weeks with so much to watch

In defence of our dear friend, his/ her uploads were done with no malicious intent other than to spread the beauty and wonder of Prince to those who may not know. Is it possible that the more his videos were "favorited",
the more it would show up in the "related videos"?
So whenever you pull up a video,
all his videos would show up in that side panel, making it easier to trace back to his channel?

I don't think we need to assume that there was a spy either...
the more poeple who knew about it, the more visible they were and more likely it was that they would be found.

If there is- whatever, i guess they were right pass it back to NPG. I'm still sad about it though.

All those clips would still be floating arouns somewhere though.. just a huge pain to find I imagine.

This is just further proof why we must be careful NOT to share stuff on here and if you really want to share links to where Prince stuff happens to be on the web through an orgnote, KNOW WHO YOU ARE DEALING WITH. For me, if I'm not sure of who the person is and I haven't seen that person on the boards regularly, then I'm not going to share info like that because of what happened. It's a sad state of affairs but it's the reality that we're in here in Purple World, for better or worse. This isn't going to be the last time that Prince's music creeps it's way onto the web but it won't be the last time that we have threads like this either.
