I can't rate collections of songs. Each song has something to offer in one way or another. In my opinion this idea is too general. cool

I'm no sure that I could complete this, but my favorite album from the 90's is come (am I the only 1?)
1. come
2. grafitti Bridge
2. symbol
3. D&P
4. Gold experience
So many of my favorite songs are on grafitti bridge, so..

I can't decide about the rest, I feel equal ambivalance to most of it, with the exception of a few songs

I can’t say I would or could rate the 90's albums, most are lost under the good ones or thrown away, but the two that still pop up are The Truth and Come, not Grade A, but good step children that I will acknowledge their existence.

So, in no particular order

The Truth

Come

5. Come (5/10) [Original config with orignal versions 8/10]
6. Exodus (6/10) [it was kinda fresh]
7. The Gold Experience (8/10) [Should have been 10/10 with original versions]
8. Chaos And Disorder (9/10) [10/10 with orginal Zannalee and inlcluding Empty Room, Da Bang and Calhoun Square and w/o I rock and dig u better dead]
9. Emancipation (3/10) [soooo disappointing]
10. The Truth (7/10) [should have been totally acoustic]
11. Newpower Soul (0/10)
12. The Vault (6/10)
13. Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic (2/10) [only becasue it included Baby Knows and So far, so pleased]

Can't be bothered to rate them all as I only ever listen to The Truth and The Vault (both of which I love). The rest I could pick songs of that I love but as albums they don't float my boat. Here's an imcomplete list.

1. The Truth
2. The Vault
3. Diamonds & Pearls
4. Gold

I'll try doing mini-reviews of the ones I've heard:

Graffiti Bridge: Messy... Some strong tracks, some decent, and some very poor ones confused

Diamonds and Pearls: Not bad at all, very run-of-the-mill though... It does suffer from early 90's pop music over production lol

prince: It does include one of my top P songs in the 90's (7), but I don't know... very forgettable... sorry sad

The Gold Experience: This is Awesomeness in album form! eek... It can rival his 80's output IMO...

Yeah... still need to listen to the rest, and these reviews aren't definite, I might need more listens to appreciate them more (or less razz ). And yes, I prefer his 80's work more cool (Sorry 90's fans wink )

I honestly think everyone is biased, the majority of his 90's music SUCKS!

I only like a few singles here and there throughout the 90's, and the only albums that sound strong are new power soul and chaos and disorder, and even then I'm giving them too much credit. Give me 70's and 80's prince anyday!
