The Prince Show! You won the finale!
You have two boxes; one with TOP NOTCH master tapes of ALL the previously leaked material, like The Ball and Rebirth Of The Flesh, the other contains bad quality tapes with music no one ever heard out of the vault, like the studio version of Purple Rain and Wednesday. Which one one will you pick? | |

The one with music no one ever heard. Much better to have some new stuff, and most of the already leaked songs--with a few exceptions--are good enough quality that they wouldn't be worth trading for the chance to get way up into the vault. Besides, getting all the previously available stuff again would just mean that I'd have yet umpteen more versions of 7 and Witness to deal with, and who needs that? | |

I'd actually go with the perfect quality of already leaked songs myself. Might actually be able to get rid of all those bootleg releases with the same old tracks on them that you have several times over because of one or two songs difference.
Let's face it, Prince fans are spoiled with the sheer bulk of material that is available officially and unofficially. Let's not be too greedy. | |

but u can keep the "studio" version of purple rain cause it doesn't exist and even if it did, STILL KEEP IT man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81 | |

The stuff no one's heard. I have the songs you mentioned so to have a bad quality of something like PR would be like finding gold. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that | |
