I check in every now and again, and if i see a topic that gets me going/stirs my interest i post on it. Period. And good fucking lord, is every response to anything negative about Prince "awww you just want it to be the 80's again!"???? that shit is WEAK! no ones saying ANYTHING like that! do you have anything else to bring to the table other than that bullshit??? congrats son on ur accomplishments but everything u listed u have with the xception of my own business, i have as well but i also have my own fucking band! and yet in still instead of lambashing everyone, maybe u should take the time and search this resource center called the org and open ur eyes 2 what other people have 2 say. and my xamples u will find all over this place. what i can tell from ur posts everytime someone provides u with some FACTS ur quick 2 thumb ur nose at people. but u will highly praise those that get ur "facts" and agree with u. dude. i don't care about your band, your life, you, whatever. you asked where i was when blah blah blah discussion was going on, and my point was i'm busy. i pick my spots. what you call "lambashing" (and i think you meant lambasting) i call holding up my end of an argument. some people have come in here with opinions that i don't agree with but they've expressed themselves well and had a point. that's not what YOU do. and the Org is a "resource center"????? WHAT THE FFFFF?
We should not be discussing over one of the longest threads ever whether a guy that could come up with songs like Lady Cab Driver or Erotic City over 25 years ago (basically bringing funk to another level, opening new frontiers in fact when funk was about to die as George and others had no longer any new ideas and were replaying the same old tired tricks over and again) whether he is funky. PS: Maybe the problem is that Prince is no longer that funky, especially on albums, and that the funk that is left in him sounds somewhat dated. So people might start forgetting how funky the man was, but they should not and 25 years from now he will be acknowledged as an amazingly funky man, no doubt

Gotcha. there is a difference about disagreeing and being a bully. i'm not just saying that u r the "bully" there r others in this thread and others that do this. it's actually okay 2 disagree with not liking something, but there's just a flip side 2 it when someone "labels", "points a finger" and "calls someone out of their name" just because they don't view or share ur opinion. it's all good 2 have that type of discussion. debates r a great thing 4 the pysche and soul. but if ur facts r challenged, or presented, there comes the option of playing fair or mudslinging. the mudslingers r the ones that want 2 try 2 hit below the belt but cry foul if their opponent hits even lower. u had said earlier 2 me that let's just agree 2 disagree, i have no problems with that. i can easily shake ur hand and walk away with no hard feelings. man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

I love how the KAK's want to dismiss this thread/conversation as "silly" but then want to go right back to threads like "if there was Flavor Of Prince, would you go on it?" Gotcha. You and your KAK shit can kiss my ass. I've not been on this thread as much as others and it's partly because why would I want to debate with someone who makes it a point to try and call people names? I wouldn't do that to you so why do it to me and others? You don't show much respect to people here unless the people come and agree with your points. I would respect you more if you weren't coming in here like you da shit cause you're far from it. You want to talk with people about this "myth" of Prince's funk but once someone gives a valid point of how Prince his funk, you still try and dismiss it, hardly being open to the counterpoints being made on here. The point of what I said was that we are repeating ourselves at this point. It has nothing to do with me wanting more of the "Oh what food is Prince eating today" type of thread. But what's the point in explaining anything to you when you've already made up your mind about me and you haven't even spoken to me personally? What a waste. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that
