Foo Fighters cover Darling Nikki

Have you bought the new Foo Fighters album? You should-- it rocks! When you buy the album, you can use the CDKey feature to access free cover-songs from their website. There's a different song each week on Tuesday. This week (the final one, I think), you can hear the Foo Fighters cover "Darling Nikki" --very, very cool!

You can't download it, though-- that sucks. I tried coping the streaming audio with my sound recorder, but my Windoze Media Player kept "popping."

It's well worth a listen, though!

I bought the Cd as well and was excited that the sticker on it said access to exclusive free songs when using the disc in your pc. Then I find that the songs are not downloadable.

Bastards.

Plus the album isn't that great either.

They also have recorded a cover of Drive Me Wild. That's a weird one for them to do too.

You don't like the album, really? Have you given it a chance (a 2nd or 3rd listen)? Are you a Foo fan? Times Like These, Comeback, Halo, All My Life... good stuff.

Not sure. If all else fails, clear your browser cache and cookie file and start all over. Was the audio popping and cracking for you or did it sound okay. It is a great cover, though!!!

I haven't heard that one-- downloading it now (or trying to). They've also covered Purple Rain in concert. Is that old news? There's a FF site with the video somewhere. I'll have to track it down again.

I think it's a pretty decent album. It took me a third listen to where I started really enjoying it. It's not as instantly catchy as their last album (tracks like Learn to Fly, Breakout, and Stacked Actors were undeniable even from the start)... but this album grows on you. It's a little more serious and emotional.

My favorites are All My Life, Have it All, Halo, and Lonely as You.

So far I own nothing by the Foo Fighters, but I love some of their songs. Anything Dave Grohl is involved in is always worth at least checking out, if you ask me.
