This just in to www.drfunkenberry.com Prince’s party tonight is in honor of the return of his favorite and VERY first Linn Drum Machine. It was lost but now is found. Apparently, it’s going to be mounted outside near resting against a large symbol. 21 copies just arrived of the NEW photo essay book by Randee St. Nicholas. Members of Prince’s band are getting their copies tonight. There will be a jam session afterwards. More news tomorrow…. Very interesting news. I believe Prince's sound became more conventional when he started using more live drumming and horns. For some reason, the linn drum expanded his musical vocabulary at a time when he was spewing creativity.
Prince is one of the greatest drum beat programmers in music history. It will be interesting to hear some new beautiful strange sounds. Just leave the horns at a minimum. | |

The funny thing is a lot of the new musical gear has 80's-era sounds. For example, Roland's newer drum machines still have their old-school 808 drum machine samples along with more current sounds. I have a new Alesis keyboard that has a sound called "1999"--and yes, it sounds like keyboards from the song "1999". | |

From watching Kim's family show I picked up on that she started selling very fashionable clothing and accesories online at E-bay and making quite a bit of money. She could afford to dress very very well and through that talent became a stylist to numerous "famous" people one of whom I remember was Paris Hilton thought there were many many others.....That seems to have started the ball rolling..... | |
