Damn...that's funny as a motherfucker...Uh...no. I don't think P should marry a fan. Unless that fan truly can dig P for the person he is. I think P is a complexed cat. If u come on too strong, u can turn him off. I think he digs the chase. Even in the relationship. If the woman is too "yes" all the time, he's going to get bored with that shit. And he's just going to drift. This is just from what I have seen and heard. P loves women. I don't know if P will ever get married again. I was so shocked when he married Mayte. I never thought P would get married. He didn't seem the marrying kind. He still doesn't. Not to me. Not everyone is meant to be married. I think P is married to his music because he trusts it. He can depend on it..it'll never turn on him or trip on him. It's there when he wants it and needs it. It's his crutch. P may get married when he's totally through with touring. Maybe. If you have something good with someone, u don't have to run and get married because of it. Let it run it's course and see where it is after all of the excitement has worn off a little. See if ya'll really even like each other as people after ripping off the clothes, messing up each other's hair, tearing up the bed. If ya'll still dig each other after that...then maybe ya'll have something. A woman can't just be into Prince simply BECAUSE he's Prince. Because sooner or later, P's real self is going to show and some women may can't handle that. Or want to.

I agree with everything you said nod

Wouldn't it be best for someone like Prince to find an adoring fan as a potential wife? Someone completely in love with him already who would do anything with and for him?

If I was a big star, it seems finding a lady who's the biggest fan would be the way to GO!!

best for him would be.... a girl that he has to endeavour..someone who NOT will do evrything for him just because hes prince. a beautiful decently girl(undercover naughty lol) that loves him but not shows from the beginning!! he has to earn her love. but not with money. u know...

It's kind of sad, but for someone who seems to write about love so well, Prince is really not that lucky in love. He almost seems unable to make one special attachment. Maybe he simply doesn't want to. Old habits can be hard to break.

I don't think he likes being tied down... either that or he is scared to commit.

He is sensitive.

A woman or a man who allows themselves to become someone's second banana, is settling for being an understudy to something or someone else playing the leading role in "Love". You're in the wings watching something or someone else bask in the role that you are supposed to have in "Love", as a dignified human being. So what are you there for? His music is an apparent necessity, but, she may have one, too. If the "necessity", though, is already the first love, then doesn't the person have what they want already?

What "Mr. and Mrs. Nelson" are supposed to do is prioritize each other's humanity and be each other's first loves, while balancing interest in each other's important legitimate interests. There are not supposed to be any Big I's or little yous in Love. He said that himself. There will be times of self sacrifice, but even then, consideration should be given to reciprocation. So, regarding this subject matter, is Gladys really saying that for love she'd rather live in his world, which in turn means she will have him in hers, too? Or is she really forfeiting her world to live in his? I guess her story would require a few more chapters to know for sure. biggrin

So, is he in need of an adoring fan? Or is he "Jason" wanting a "Lyric"? If U watch, pay keen attention. Or are his own "lyrics" truly his 1st love needing no other? Things that make you go hmm?lips

Love is more than a matter of luck. Staying in love and sustaining a relationship takes work.

In the song..."Midnight Train to Georgia," There is a feeling in the song about two people being seperated.

When you look at Prince's career skyrocketing through fame and money...A woman that doesn't have this kind of success is going to be in a world without those talents, although it doesn't change her love for him. That is all that I meant by saying that she would rather live in his world....(With nice clothes and all that comes along with money) Than bring him into her (rag doll) life... cool

Think of what Rocky said when Bullwinkle tried to pull a rabbit out of the hat.

"Again?"
"That trick never works."
"And now here's something we hope you really like."

Well I could be right or wrong or partially right/partially wrong.... Anyway supposedly he is studying the bible as he said in his own words he was going to do. If he is in fact doing a spiritual reflection for his life, then perhaps the next time he marries it would be a successful marriage. It never really is about if the person is fan,or not, what is meant to be, will be either way.

If Prince was in troubled marriage with Manuela, having kids with her will bring more unhappiness for him, Manuela and the children.

I don't know if harsh is the word..I think it's honest. Think about it...If Prince limits love to a woman with sucess and a decent financial situation...that means that he himself searches for love within a tax bracket...or a talent bracket...or a looks bracket even...
If Prince's true love existed outside of these money oriented places...than one...she could trust that he loves her for her...and two...Prince is not going to fall in love...and say...well...we're gonna get an apartment and stay home...It's ridiculous to think that Prince would escort a woman through the rest of his life...and not offer her nicer things that she has had...Because if she had to prove that she didn't love him for his money...than there's a way to solve that...give it all away...and then there isn't any money at all.
She wouldn't suffer...She would be in paradise with love alone...Without money...Prince would be making a sacrifice to prove he loved her.
