theres no tellin with Prince but i think hes trying to grow as an artist and try new things not goin back in the past 2 recycle the style he already had. He'll always have an edge thats just his music

I'd much rather see his intelligence and politics/world views become more evident in his music.

He needs to branch out into new subject matter - not just sex/religion most of the time.

I think there's as much chance of his going back as there is of people giving this question a permanent rest.

I Believe that Prince will always be true to his heart's expression...
As we get older...we may still write things that a youthful heart would write...although we tend to limit what we share as we age...

Maturity allows us to become more selective with what we take into our spirit's and what we release.

I don't think he should stay in the "nasty" rut.

He's got his own way of putting it across in his music now. It's still there, just a bit tamer.

In a way I'm glad he doesn't record songs like that any more at his current age, because if he did he might sound ridiculous like Janet Jackson still harping on about her clit at the age of 42. But the refusal to perform the old songs and even changing the lyrics to some (Sexuality to Spirituality is the one that bugs me the most) is rather annoying.

look at madonna now...should anyone act like that at her age. i sometimes think it would be cool for prince to be really filthy still, but when i see madonna, i think its good that hes acting his age with dignity.
