Gold Experence and Show Girls

Well, I wonder why p never get any credit for the movie ShowGirls. I mean since he did most of the music for the movie.I just thought It was odd.

I also think it is unfair that they did not give him any credit.

I read that he was originally supposed to do a lot more on the soundtrack (more songs + musical score). Dunno what happened, but that never happened (thankfully). So, they got 319 and Ripopgodazippa.

As turbulent as that time was for Prince, being linked to another failed movie would've been devastating.

He had a lot of soundtrack appearances around that time.

Dunno what people are complaining about.

Firstly, there's only 2 Prince songs in the movie: 319 and Ripopgodazippa.
And secondly, he DID get credit for them.

Exactly, I verify this with Boris as well. I waited for the ending credits to verify those songs as prince songs (I had not heard them yet). Once verified I almost bought the soundrack to Showgirls just for those two tracks. Good thing I didn't and waited for Crystal Ball. Same thing for the Bright Lights, Big City soundtrack and GOod Love.

Biggest flop of the century.

Drag queens ridiculed it by setting up scream along showings.

How about Prince getting some credit for "The Dark Knight"? My logic is that Prince's soundtrack to the original "Batman" was so great that it helped the "Batman" franchise & Jack Nicholson's portrayal of the Joker reach new heights. And Jack Nicholson IS a huge Prince fan!

It was panned by critics and flopped commercially. Although with the passage of time it's become a 'cult classic', and deservedly so, it's a great movie.

Also the soundtrack version of Good Love is longer, so it's well worth tracking down smile

i love that 'showgirls' has the distinction of being the only film to have a soundtrack featuring both prince AND david bowie. love
