SOTT hands down, daylight 2nd, then maybe ATWIAD (just beating moonlight to the post)..... "Grace": "Do you always keep lingerie in your glove box?"

Most people will pick SOTT, in a 19 to 20 ratio. Why? Cuz it is a more firm, memorable, sexy, exciting record that has more going for it than ATWIAD. That said, I love, love, love both for very different reasons. As always, the VS threads are weird, cuz they are rather pointless.

SOTT kicks AWOD's ass every day of the week and twice on sunday. it was more sexy funky rhythmic and socially conscious. I like AWOD a lot but I LOVE SOTT. Now as for the look he was rockin...they cancel each other out!

I say "Around the World in a Day" wins. What do you think? Around the World in a Day is short and sweet and Prince was at his musical peak with it. The vocals are driving the music and he's totally loose on it, I love it!

I prefer Sign O The Times.
The best songs on Around The World In A Day like "Paisley Park", "Rasberry Beret" and "Pop Life" are about as good as the best songs on Sign O The Times, but to me, Sign O The Times have more great songs. Beyond the hits, there are gems like "Play In The Sunshine", "The Ballad Of Dorothy Parker" and "Forever In My Life". At the same time, I think Around The World In A Day is a very good album.

Sign O the times' when that came out he put everything together. It was like listening to James Brown, Al Green, Marvin Gaye, Buddy Holly, John Lennon but all wrapped in one. It is a masterpiece.

It was smokin, he was playing it on an acoustic guitar but it was a rockin verision of it like when he plays When U Were Mine. "Ain't nutin but a muffin got a whole lot of butter to go"

He played a lot of the songs from Around the World and Parade. I started catching his shows when LOVESEXY came out and saw both shows he played in Oakland and the San Francisco aftershow. They were all fantastic!!

Both are excellent. Though the two albums are so different it'd be like comparing a truck to a monkey, nevermind apples and oranges.
My personal fave of the two is probably ATWIAD, but that's just because I think Adore is overrated. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

Don't forget Joni Mitchell, Stevie Nicks, and even Ms. Dorothy Parker herself. Prince's female influences were just as strong on this album as his male influences were IMO.
