how do YOU listen to your LOVESEXY??? do you listen to the original (an albumwrap) start to finish? or do you own a multi track version and play the ones you want to hear? me, myself, it could go either way because Lovesexy is such a dope album I can listen to it all the way through but I'm not always in the mood sometimes I wanna go straight to "Dance On" or "Glam Slam".. etc... so with that being said, I believe I prefer to just listen to the vinyl that way I can stick the needle where it needs to go I asked this question out of curiosity to see how the majority of us handle the Lovesexy project [Edited 9/27/08 9:42am] because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind."

I don't Not to be an album hater but I've always hated it except When 2 R in Love & Alphabet St. Since I hate the album, I never here those two except When 2-I listen to the Black album 4 that one

wow question though you don't even like the opener "Eye No"? I'm like the opposite of you cuz rarely do I play The Black Album there was a timeframe sometime last year when I was heavy into that album bu I'll only hear it every once in a while now thanx for responding I adore "W2RIL" and of course "Alphabet St." is the REASON WHY for this album (for me anyway) the 12 inch for "Glam Slam" was THEEEE first Prince record my mother willingly let me own it was my bday and her then boyfriend bought it for me, I had originally asked him for Janet Jackson's Control album which was still popular at the time so I got Control & Glam Slam I was so happy [Edited 9/27/08 9:42am] because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind."

Both ways, but I listen to the individual songs more than I listen to it as a whole.

Never dug the album except for a few cuts; Alphabet St., When Two Are in Love, Anna Stesia. IMHO Black Album is much more dope.

I mean I had heard "Glam Slam" but was not pressed to get the record it was a total surprise I was into learning the chair stunt from the Pleasure Principle video at that time "the Prince thing" had kinda sorta died down after the Purple Rain era... when my sister moved out I mean I was familiar with his songs & videos but I was not allowed to play it in the house I can still remember the look on my mama's face when she saw there was a Prince record for my gift too thank GAWD he didn't attempt to buy me the Lovesexy album she probably woulda passed out from one glance at that album cover thanx Efan (for responding) because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind."

wow... I thought Lovesexy was a cult classic of sorts to be honest I prefer the earlier 80's stuff in comparison to the later 80's stuff but Lovesexy is cool it took me about 6 or 7 spins to get into it as a whole because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind."

I have two copies of this album, an original and a tracked version. The tracked version is always being played, but I like the whole album. I am Princes love child!

It depends on if I'm in the mood for a particular song
But I only have it as a continuous track. Thanks to my iPOD, though I can fast-forward to the song I want to hear if I so choose, but it takes quite a bit of guesswork I only know where Anna Stesia begins, which is a little past the 16 min mark A lot of the time, though, I'll listen to it from start to finish Cuz it truly is a masterpiece. Why not listen to it all the way through? Even though I'm not crazy about Dance On, I still listen to it had 2 run away... pride was 2 strong. It started raining, baby, the birds were gone

I jump right to Anna Stesia 1st.. then let the rest of the album play.. (if I don't put Anna Stesia on repeat lol) .. depending on my mood, I do the same with 'I Wish U Heaven' ..

Lemme know if you're interested, and I will post the instructions on this page.

When I want to experience the album again, I listen to the it from start to finish.
When I want to just hear a few tracks, I play them by themselves (usually play I Wish U Heaven and Anna Stesia more than the others).

I thought about this last night as I played my albumwrap on my ZUNE... it's a neat feature really I wonder if Prince thought about that sort of thing at the time like "I'm going to make this album one long track so in case if they come out with a tool in the future to play music digitally, folks can look at the album cover and know where what song starts from the position of the timeline at the bottom of the album cover" for example, I know (no pun intended) that "Alphabet St." starts somewhere in the middle of his left foot... and "Glam Slam" starts at the beginning of the flower petal that his ass is sitting on (right past that left foot)... I have it down to a science the first half of the album anyway I used to totally hate the albumwrap thing but it's hella neat when you're looking at a timeline go by at the bottom of the album cover [Edited 9/28/08 8:19am] because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind."
