I've been listening to The Time.

Sometimes I find it hilarious, othertimes just slightly wrong (so wrong, i have to laugh usually)

Anyway, just wanting to ID Prince on these songs

Is he doing the chinese accent in 'Chilli Sauce'?

Is he doing any weird voices on "the Walk'?

Any other examples of prince doing funny voices on these albums?

What are you reactions to these songs?

P is doing all of the backing vocals on the first Time album. P is also singing back up vocals on all of the second Time album as well, along with Dez singing back up on "777-9311" and "Wild and Loose". That's P's voice who ask the girls "Hey, u guys going to the party tonight?" on "Wild and Loose". And on "Tricky" that's P laughing in the background.

Originally I shyed away from the first Time album because I felt Prince's involvement was too overt, particulary in terms of his backing vocals (and at time leads). But recently I have re-discovered this album and LOVE Prince's vocals so high in the mix. His occasional licks and screams make all the songs on this very funky album even funkier.

His original voice as the waiter reeling off what's on the menu, is still on Chocolate from Pandemonium too.

I've mentioned on here soooo many times about that backward mask that P does when P and Morris shout "We Don't Like New Wave" ( a dig at Andre's solo album)and all of the laughter. Of course, when u run that part backwards, it's no longer laughter and then u hear P's multi-tracked voice say "Here we come for u".

Prince spoke through The Time's songs..

It is my opinion that "Ice Cream Castles" is "White Girls" with a deeper meaning.

The meaning was that he was with a white girl at the time, and wanted "mad sisters" to understand.

"It's raining. Mad sisters, why can't they realize, that it won't be long?"
