Prince was a man on a mission Friday: He turned up at Privé (Planet Hollywood Resort) with a walking wall of security and The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel, where he watched Latin singer and songwriter Julieta Venegas perform. Instead of his usual hideaway in a Pure VIP room, he sat in front of the crowd on the VIP stage, not far from Jason Lewis of "Sex and The City." During the Purple One's stop at Christian Audigier The Nightclub at Treasure Island, he watched a fashion show hosted by "America's Next Top Model" Season 8 winner Jaslene Gonzalez. I wonder if he does any gambling when he's there?
He has so many gambling references in his songs, I am sure he's played his share of card games: Another Lonely Christmas - "remember the night we played pokeno for money" Willing and Able - "Got some Kings in my deck, and a Queen or Two" My Name is Prince - "I'm the blackjack dealer..." Money Don't Matter 2Night - "One more card and it's 22" Love 2 the 9's - "Maybe you should have played an ace, instead you played a queen" Shoo Bed Ooh - "How are you gonna win if you let em all see your hand? Playing the queen don't work on your knees" Any more? I know there are TONS of them. Which leads me to believe Prince is a secret gambler. Maybe he hits the poker rooms in Vegas in a disguise? | |
