U know prince getting old when he dont release an album in a calendar year? what's wrong with him?

I think Prince has been going roughly 2 years before album releases--not quite 2 years, but pretty close anyways.

His output in quality and quantity since going Independent has been sporadic--sometimes you get a whole mess of stuff and sometimes nothing.

I guess he'll just keep keeping us guessing.

well I guess he did a few associated albums in 1983.

1983 and 2005 also had no albums, and you can almost count 2000 as well as Rave In 2 The Joy Fantastic was not really available until later and arguably it was a remix album only.
2008's album will be Indigo Nights as part of the book.

It was a long time between Musicology and 3121 too, almost 3 years.Prince has been around for a long time, he doesn't have to rush a thing. Long time fans have learned to wait.

Age doesn't have anything to do with Prince releasing an album every year...A fifty year old has plenty of other responsibilities to tend to.

We had 1983, 1997, 2000 and 2005 as years without a Prince album. For 30 years, that's incredible.

It's okay with me. He deserves a break every now and then just like we all do.

If it somewhat boring like most his material of the last 10 years, he better stay on holiday somewhat longer.

Yes, 'The Truth' is an album from 1997, supposed to come out that year, but due to EMI admin. procedures it slipped to 1998 as a 4th disc.

Even 'One Nite Alone' was compiled in 2001 and 'came out' in 2002.

It would be great if we got an official CD in record stores before the year ends along with the CD in the book. I'm not holding my breath but it would be cool nonetheless.
