You're from NY too! The A Train is a GREAT train to listen to Prince music, especially from express part from 59th St-Columbus Circle to 125th St and vice versa and the Rockaways! avalanche, i believe that certain songs catch you, stop you and suck you in, not many but this one does. from the first listen, the bitterness, sincerity, passion, the expressed rage kept hidden for years comes out. In that moment he is every bit as potent for me as Bruce Springsteen has always been, like Sam Cookes' a Change is Gonna Come this song just breaks you in two and puts you back together, there is no other prince song that even comes close to touching me in that particular way. I just recently found this, so that is why it is my current favorite. Anyone who says he has nothing left to offer should listen to this. White people will hate it, black people will love it, being an Indian, i love it too. | |
