Most of those pics are screen grabs from Randee St.Nicholas's website. They have been up there for ages (the prince on pillow pic was sold at the o2).
Text is full of new info though!
I believe only the car shot that we have seen before is from the book. Not sure about a couple of the others but I do know I saw the others ages ago on
http://www.randeestnicholas.com/ which is now unfortunatly 'under construction'

Maybe she's busy hand binding copies of the 21 nights books!
The ones on HQ are the real deal.

But not a dvd...which many fans seem to want.

-----
The last time Prince put out a DVD people hated the film that was used or somet hing technical about it.

Maybe P should stick to pics and music for now.

I was going to say something like that. People wouldn't be happy with the DVD if he released one from the show just like people won't be happy with the CD that's coming with the book. People will be saying how one song should be longer and wonder why another song is on there and etc... I hope I'm wrong but I don't think I will be.
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Hutchi

So, it's the 21 nights programme booklet, with some more photo's and a CD?

Wow! (Sarcasm)

Seems fans will buy any thing he puts out now a days, a good album would be nice, i mean, the last was good, but i mean good by Prince standards, where I get people coming up to me, who never listened to Prince, saying, " That new Prince song is great!" good. Last time that happened was The Gold Experience I think.

C'mon P...get FUNKY again!

OH MY GOD!
Just had a peep over at HQ. What the hell is going on with prince and his fans. It has gone crazy. The new 21nights pics 'exclusive' they have is fine, but the response has left me silent (for a change).

"thank you prince, thank you all pfu, thank you prince's team etc etc ad nauseum"
Thanks for what? releasing some shots to up the sales of a book, because prince has removed himself from the internet has no official mouthpiece and now 'needs' fansites again to make some cash? It is shocking. S.H.O.C.K.I.N.G!

And what are we lowly prince fans expected to do for such graciousness (3 photoshopped pics from a book we will all buy) In the same breath (one story earlier) it has been suggested that as a matter of goodwill prince fansites should report and police the web for illegal copies of prince material and report them to websheriff. This is suggested apparently as a possible "way forward"..Has everyones IQ suddenly dropped?

What on earth has taken hold of everyone?

Sure they can post them. But I think the thread title is a bit misleading since no one knows if these will be in '21 Nights' biggrin

All it said was "21 Nights Update" .... 90% info posted can be considered misleading....some of the pic's might not be in the book, a performance announced might not happen...etc.

Been debating about whether or not to post my review of the book since I managed to get a sneak peek from the publishers earlier this week (I work in the industry before anyone asks). Really don’t want to spark some good ol’ fan furore (it can get pretty nasty round here!) and, moreover, I don’t want P’s lawyers hunting me down…

Anyway, have finally caved. The org was such a useful resource last summer that I kind of feel like I owe you an overview…but without any spoilers!

Here it goes:

1) Everyone seems to be getting excited about the ‘essays’ or poems penned by Prince for this book. Don’t. With the exception of a handful of verses, this is for all intents and purposes a lyric book. The vast majority of the lyrics from Planet Earth along with the odd verse from other tracks (Question of U and Days of Wild, I seem to remember) appear throughout the book. Yes, there is original material (as far as I know) but it’s few and far between. Anyone who’s expecting a diary of sorts will be pretty disappointed.

2) Don’t seem to remember any of the pics that appear at the beginning of thread post to be in the book. The ones on Housequake are definitely authentic, as are the shots of the hotel room that appear in this thread.

Speaking of which, brace yourself for lots of (relatively pointless, IMHO) atmospheric shots of empty hotel rooms and Luton airport – it’s not like there’s a shot of Prince on every page. The photography by and large is pretty mediocre – the only standout images appear to be stills from the unreleased video for SHOE shot in Prague during the tour. Prince does not appear on every page but, when he does, he’s been really over-Photoshopped. I honestly had one flick through the pictures and I was done.

3) The CD: This is where it gets good and the set redeems itself! There are some great recordings of the Indigo aftershows in circulation but, for once, this official release beats them all. The sound quality is perfect with all the annoying drunken banter from the crowd pushed way down. Infinitely better than It Ain’t Over, the sound quality is superb and – to my ear, at least – there are no annoying overdubs!

Don’t want to get in trouble for posting the tracklist but I’m sure I can get away with saying that a fair portion of the recording appears to be taken from the ‘comedy night’ of the Indigo aftershows. There’s some priceless comic ad libbing from Prince that I really wasn’t expecting to make it onto the CD along with a blues jam about an underhanded lover. Anyone who was there will know the skit I’m talking about.

Elsewhere, there are two tracks with Shelby on lead vocals. Not saying she wasn’t an enjoyable part of the aftershows but I definitely would have replaced her cover songs with some of Prince’s other steller moments during those aftershows: a blistering Joy In Repetition, Party Up or Empty Room, for example. All in all, he’s handpicked a solid 15 tracks: a couple of covers, a bit of his ‘stand up’ routine, a few hits and some fan favourites. I’m sure people will bitch and moan but given the sheer volume of material he had to choose from, I think he did a pretty good job. There are also some jaw dropping solos from Josh and Renato featured on this set… The only omission from the CD, in my opinion, are a couple of tracks from the ‘power trio’ night that featured some awesome guitar work sad

To be perfectly honest, the book really didn’t do it for me but I’d buy the set in an instant if only to have the CD!

That’s it. Let the onslaught commence.

And please don’t message me for images or a track list – I don’t have either!

That really is a great review. Thanks for that. I always try not to put my expectations too high so this seems like it'll be an unexpected pleasure. I always thought the book would be a bit lame (photoshopped wank). The CD is what it's all about - and it sounds good. I still wish he would just put out a cd of just one of the night's, but i'll take any good quality live recording. Thanks NewFunk, and it seems like thank you Prince!

Remember that set of live pics from the Musicology tour he gave to Housequake? They were way more interesting than these over airbrushed over posed pics he can't seem to get away from. I'm thinking this is just an expensive way of getting an official live cd

More than likely.

And I may add something. I have the strange feeling that he's doing most of his recent work (excluding the Earth Tour) for himself alone to enjoy.

What do I mean by this?

Planet Earth album was a dedication to his own sound of the 80's

Somewhere here on earth video was shot and really hardly seen, which means the use of it could easily be private.

This upcoming book is some kind of final signature on the 2007 work (and I guess he wasn't holding the pen firmly).

Could it be really true that Prince is now enjoyable exclusively on live shows?

This book includes a CD. We are getting a live concert from the 21 nights shows.

But not a dvd...which many fans seem to want.

If I have to pick between a dvd and a cd I'll take the cd.
I could care less about a dvd.
Glad the book includes the cd - thats the only reason i'm buying it.
