I believe he played part of "Tempatation" at the show I saw at Market Square Arena for the Purple Rain Tour. Prince & the Revolution had just completed a 2 year tour on top of a crazy two year media frenzy surrounding Purple Rain. I don't care how fit you are spiritually, mentally or emotionally. There's no way his little body could have handled another full throttle tour. Purple Rain was such and extavaganza that it would have been very hard for him to equal it.

according 2 studio bookings, prince was making around the world in a day prior 2 all the success of Purple rain. it would have been different if after the tour he went in2 the studio and started work on a new album ..oh yeah it was parade

man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

LinnLM1	He was burned out from the Purple Rain tour. Needed a break. the music knows what your motives are when you are making it listen to The Replacements - its good for the soul
