Would anyone know how I could get in contact with Princ??

I'm in a wheelchair & would love to just send him an email.

Please don't yell at me for asking!!

Try sending an email to paisley park studios or faxing your letter.
I tried sending an email but it came back.
I'm sure Prince gets lots of mail good and bad,
Im sure he has his own reasons for not being able to respond to all of his mail.
Keep trying you may get lucky. wink

And to all the "know it alls",

get a life.

u know who u are!!!
Prince did an interview with a woman at Record World. They talked about whatever, then he asked her: "Does your pubic hair go up to your navel?" At that moment, we thought maybe we shouldn't encourage him to do interviews.

I am handicapped in a wheelchair, and you guys making fun of the OP is very offensive to me.

I wrote a letter to Prince myself (c/o Paisley Park), but never received a response...I honestly believe Prince is too busy to read fanmail. sad But you should write him, anyway; I felt good after writing him. biggrin

NO ONE was making fun of the fact that Aussiefan was wheelchair bound. Rather pointing out the ridiculous nature of his/her post. Getting in contact with prince is impossible for anyone, disabled or not disabled.
And to make a point of referencing one's unfortunate circumstances whilst looking for special attention is crass and insulting for other disabled people who want and deserve to be treated "like everyone else" They are the same as everyone else, with the same level of dignity, respect and function in society. It saddens me greatly to see a comment like the one Aussiefan made. It belittles any disabled person who just wants to be treated equally.

who in the he-doublehockeysticks do u think u are?
get a grip y don't you?
Try and be civil.
If you really want to comment on whether a post is ridiculous or not..there are thousands on this site. Aussiefans post is not one of them.

I know who I am and and who are you? Read the whole thread, read all the responses, read the other reactions from other orgers and then if you still fancy posting an agressive post aimed at me.. don't bother. If you can't reply to a sincere & personal response to a difficult situation with manners, then please don't speak to me. And for god's sake make some point, any point??!! in your post. Not just an inarticulate bladder inducing very 'uncivil' attack. "hockeystick??!" yawn!. go troll somewhere else.. Not interested in blind intelligible uninformed rants.

dull, dull, dull.

2 write a letter 2 someone i admire is on my bucket list. 2 hard 2 write 2 prince. maybe i will write 2 someone not in the music business but someone fighting for a cure for cancer or someone giving their life up 2 make ours better. sorry prince u lost my respect.many others would love 2 get a letter thanking them. they would always be greatful of being noticed for their sacrifices
live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly, be loyal

I know a lot of orgers with serious disabilities and physical problems who would never even mention it let alone for something as trivial as contacting a musician.

What makes you say that contacting Prince is trivial? If it weren't for him and his music, I wouldn't have been able to cope with my grandma's death when I was nine (Thank God for the Lovesexy album!). Also, the song Purple Rain saved me from suicide when I was twelve. Those are just two of many reasons why I will forever be grateful to Prince...

In a broader scope, his work has made my life better as a whole and allowed me to connect with who I truly am (my soul, spirit, or whatever you choose to call it), to reach outside of my physical existence as a man with Cerebral Palsy. Listening to Prince is the only time I truly feel like "myself." Saying that my (and others') wish to communicate with him to thank him and tell him of the profound positive influence he's had (and still has) on my life is "trivial" offends and saddens me. disbelief

With all due respect, I think you are missing Barbara07's point. I'd say we have all had our "music saves our life" moments, be it Prince or another favoured musician. Music is an amazing way to escape whatever needs to be escaped. And some people have vastly different life situations and hardships than others. But to use one's personal situation as a buying/selling point when looking for something, or looking for special treatment, it cheapens the hardship endured by others in similar situations, who have fought for equality and normality for years. I'm glad you get such comfort from princes music, you know what? that's what all we prince fans have in common. And it is a great thing.

I am very sorry. Please believe me when I say I have no wish to offend or sadden you, and I am sorry that you felt that my comments had anything to do with you. They didn't.

A person using the fact that they are wheelchair-bound to ask for special favours with a musician offends me. I'm sorry that you disagree with me, but in my opinion it is trivial and wrong to do this.
And most especially because the world has gone so crazy that no-one is allowed to say they find it offensive. I find that a very dangerous type of closed-minded thinking.
I respect your opinion. I also still have my opinion and it has not changed.

However, apart from all this I am sincerely sorry you felt offended. I am glad you continue to find some solace in Princes music. Please accept my humble apology for offending you. I didn't mean to.
