Those that are dissing R. Kelly have to recognize this, the man has been making hits for well over a decade. He has changed with the times musically and is as relevant now as he was when he released 12 Play. I hate that Trapped In The Closet crap too but apparently millions of music buyers think differently. He's written alot of legit hits like Your Body's Callin and I Believe I Can Fly (which is a very inspirational song). He's done what some of us Prince fans wish Prince would of done, and that is to adapt to the times with his sound. Some would say that is compromising your artistic integrity, but others may see it as being able to reach more people with your music. I think if R. Kelly does "The Beautiful Ones" in a soulfull and tastefull way it will be a major hit, and hey, that means more money in Prince's pocket in which he can spend on another Hollywood Hills party. And hey, we was aquitted of the peeing on the girl situation so let us move on from that. Hell, Jerry Lee Lewis is still celebrated even though he married his underage cousin right? I still think he sucks. His voice is weak as HELL and I've never understood his "musical" success. As for him as a human being. Just cuz somebody gets acquitted doesn't make them innocent anymore than somebody being found guilty automatically means they're guilty. The justice system is much like the political system in as far as who has money and popularity! Further...Musicians are not by defintion sick and twisted mentally. I don't think Al Green, Alicia Keys, the Earth Wind & Fire crew, Bruce Springstein, Sheryl Crow are sick nor twisted and I don't think my man Prince is sick nor twisted. The list is long of how many artists got they heads on straight and I don't have time to list them all. R.Kelly's hits don't mean shit because the majority of ppl buying his shit are teenagers who are easily impressed!. If he stands the test of time like Prince, Madonna, Bruce and the Beatles then I will give him props but until then - fuck him!
