I went through some of the comments and instead of ppl making fun of P, (which i was expecting) all the biased rock fans are pissed of Stevie is #1 lol

I don't pay polls any mind...P did good to even get listed. As popular as P is, he uusually doesn't get the glory that he deserves. For so many things. The media has always had a problem with Prince. And there's many reasons for this, I feel. I remember when P was around and he was seen as this crazy weird black guy that people thought was gay. Then when he started getting love from MTV because of the 1999 video and ESPECIALLY Little Red Corvette, then the media was kind of hush hush. No one was talking too much about P cuz they didn't want to give him any credit. He wasn't so weird anymore so then everybody jumped silent. THEN when P exploded with the film and the album, he was TOO big for the media to ignore. They simply HAD to cover him or they would have lost their jobs. But P upsets a lot of the media. Because to them, they think he's TOO MUCH. He's TOO talented. A black man who has all of this pure talent and vision, who is a master showman, a master musician, one of the best vocalist, male or female, goodlooking, charismatic, etc...to them, he's TOO much. Prince is more "threatning" to the media that MJ was. P doesn't get it nearly as much as he used to. Largely because he's much older now and he hasn't had a current hit in a while. But polls, some give it up to P, but most of them,...

Hmm.. maybe that explains the whole MJ thing then, because I NEVER got it, well I loved Off the Wall, but apart from that .....confused He doesn't even begin to compare to Prince imo!

Although I would've like 2 have seen Purple Rain place higher, this list is more accurate than others I've seen, I like the staying power aspect of it,cuz there r sure a lot of albums out there that sold 10 plus million that don't deserve 2 be on any top list (i.e. Backstreet Boys & Britney Spears) not 2 many people r looking 2 add those 2 their collection anymore.
