Prince Lyrics that Intrique You.

Prince Lyrics that Intrigue You.

Prince has said many things throughout his songs, that often send us wondering, where Prince is coming from...

Here are a couple of examples that intrigue me....

1) In the song, "Cinnamon Girl," Prince sings...."When she got accused of this crime."
- Does this mean that a female was accused of 9/11?

2) In the song, "Te Amo Corazon," Prince sings..."At 42 thousand feet above the sea, that's where you and I first came to be, from the dust of the earth and the knowlege tree."
-These lyrics intrique me in two ways...
One) why 42 thousand feet? and not, 43 or 41? Is that some kind of atmospheric limit or something?
Two) Do you believe that Prince believes that He is the Biblical, ADAM?

I would appreciate your opinions...as well as wonder what lyrics Intrigue you. cool

I've always taken Cinnamon Girl to be a social commentary about the increased scrutiny and discrimination experienced by people of Middle Eastern appearance since 9/11 -

"So began the mass illusion, war on terror alibi"

As for Te Amo Corazon, I haven't thought about it at all
"Grace": "Do you always keep lingerie in your glove box?"
Morris: "None of my women wear gloves"

So you believe that Prince is referring to the "Middle East" as female?

I would think so just like America is referred to being female in some songs as well.

I don't think so. The girl is accused of a crime in the aftermath of 9/11 for reasons other than evidence. I think the song is about a person (maybe someone he knows?) who is being pre-judged because of their apperance/beliefs and the theories behind that are being explored. Everything that takes away anybody's rights is defended with the "Homeland Security" argument in this day and age. Is this song Prince's protest????

the lyrics to the song "condition of the heart"
..In her chills, I'll force a burst..Erotic thrills, so good, it hurts..My motions 2 her velvet, she'll strike it as love..Rain from her pelvis..ended with doves..

Technically that is a racist perspective...although allowed in thought...due to the nature of peoples ethnic differences...However, Propaganda...is Worldwide..., any of these identities could have been just as much of a lie...as anything else. Prince is smarter than that...Prince knows that the CIA does not judge racial backgrounds as a means of intent to harm World Trade....Those are ignorant assumptions...The door is wide open for the lunatic that wanted those towers down.

I think 12 fit the metre. It's the highest number with a single syllable.
We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Probably because the Burgundians were wiped off the map...And the Ethnicities that are here are incomplete.

Because a lot of the time, he does - and they aren't discerning enough to know the difference.

But also (and maybe more importantly) because looking for meaning is just something humans do. Trying to fill a void... shrug

1) In the song, "Cinnamon Girl," Prince sings...."When she got accused of this crime."

No, she's Muslim, that's her "crime." She is being treated as if guilty because of her religion.

Cruising altitude of the plane they were on. (First came to be? as a couple or members of the Mile High Club?)

Two) Do you believe that Prince believes that He is the Biblical, ADAM?
They are doing what people have done since Adam and Eve. Meeting, falling in love, sex, of course not necessarily in that order . . .

I would appreciate your opinions...as well as wonder what lyrics Intrigue you. cool
I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

Interesting but I don't think so . . .
He could be talking about the 12 apostles. . . .

Yes I have, although at one time it was owned by the German's...and "Burg," is the root word, of city, or town...
It was divided in fourth's...and also belonged to the Holy Roman Emipre, at one time....What happened to the decendants of King Godomar? It is a mystery...

What about the "Rainbow Children.." that state that we are either this, or that...?

Does that mean we are either for building Heaven or trying to create a wall that prevents everyone from having equal shares in love and peace?
