The first time I heard P Control, I was a little put off cause I thought it was rude to name a girl pussy, but then I listened to it closer, and realized that he was saying that woman should know that they have a certain power, and that we should make sure that we use it. smile

1987, and he wrote the lyrics to that one too.

I'm with you on that one. However, the term "Girl Power" was first coined by Prince over 20 years ago when he wrote that tune for Sheila E. The expression then got hijacked by the Spice Girls and the media before it became a universal cliche.

That song is such a guilty pleasure. I always laugh at the part, "I think my drummer got something to say/Lay it on me now, in a milky way." So dumb. And yet so good. And who was her drummer, anyway? Isn't she just talking about herself?

Anyway, other than writing a song with that title, I don't see how Prince invented Girl Power. He wasn't the first person to use the term, and he didn't invent feminism.

Flower Power didn't have anything to do with feminism. rolleyes

Just to be blunt...which I rarely am...However...It is true...that Pretty Pussy's aren't always pretty girls...And a man is better off marrying the girl's that know how to keep the beauty for her personal man...

Overboard sex appeal...Out in the street...Is not what any family needs to teach their boy's or girl's....

And that is why I love Pussy Control at home...Not in the dance clubs.
