I was waiting for Jay to step in at anytime and cut Kevin's rant short, but he just kept going, and going, and going. http://www.last.fm/user/somebodyunot

It totally reminds of Truth or Dare when Kevin goes backstage to meet Madonna and she asks him how he liked the show. Kevin say, "It was neato." Madonna is like but she's polite and everything. After he leaves though she says, "Anyone that calls my show 'neato' has got to go." I see her point. Bring on The Time.

Why do these songs sound COMPLETELY different with Jesse on guitar. Higher energy, more intense, funkier!!! Lawd, I'ma hurt myself next week in Las Vegas. I need to make sure I stretch before the show cuz I'ma be clowning.
And shout out to all the 3121 peeps I saw on Leno.

Soundcheck was about an hour. 1st 45 minutes was without Morris. They rehearsed the songs I mentioned above along with My Drawers.
For 777-9311/The Bird, (which will air on the tonight show web site next week) during the rehearsal, Morris was contemplating saying butt instead of ass, when talking bout shakin' it like the black folk n u might get some 2night. Just posting this 4 those who care. The tickets they gave for this event were different than other Tonight Show tickets and actually had a photo of the Time on the ticket. I watched it. D.L. was killing as always. Funny stuff. The Time...good to see the o.g. lineup. Would LOVE to see them play some NEW shit. But the highlight for me was Jesse. The cat was tearing it up on the axe. As always. Jesse, to be honest, was the highlight of their performance, musically. SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."

Yeah, I just wish the cameraman would've shown more Jesse during his Jungle Love solo
Just so glad to see JJ back and killin' it on the axe!!! My author page: https://www.amazon.com/au...eretttruth

I made sure I had my ass on the couch for The Time. I read about it literally 2 or 3 hours beforehand on here. (Thanks for posting it in the Associated Artists forum!)
I was really excited to see the band on there. I can't beleive Leno had Prince and then The Time in the matter of a few weeks. That was so cool. After all this time, Morris still has the moves. I love a Man who:
Wears More Make Up Than Me. Wears Four Inch Stilleto Boots. Changes His Name To An Unpronouncable Symbol. Who Changes His Name Back From An Unpronouncable Symbol. Oh And Most Importantly, Who Is Sexy Little Drop Of Butterscotch

The absolute best part of The Time in Las vegas recently was the guitar playing of Jesse Johnson. Dont get me wrong Morris, Jerome, Jimmy Jam, Terry, Jellybean and Monte were all INCREDIBLE but Jesse is something special on that guitar - he is truly one of the great guitarists of his time. His solos and overall presence balance how crazy Morris and Jerome are and made the show one of the best live experiences I have ever had. When Jesse played a version of his tune "Free World" with just him, Terry Lewis on bass and Jellybean on drums it was the heaviest funk three piece sound I have ever heard - it made a mockery almost of Prince's power trio in the early '90's. The Time were that good I am still smiling almost 6 weeks later.
