At least Amazon don't take any cash until the order is shipped, so nobody is losing out.
People in the UK don't seem to be getting these notices yet, so hopefully the UK release is still ok. My order still says delivery estimate of 2/9/08-3/9/08. Time will tell. [Edited 7/24/08 5:52am] RIP  | |

I am in the UK and it still has 1st September as the dispatch date, also the price went down to £18.99 a while back.

I preordered this from Amazon as well. I'm not terribly interested in the book, wouldn't mind looking thru it once or twice actually, but mainly wanted the CD. I remember thinking that I'm sure I could find the music from the cd floating around pretty quick after release, but I like having a nice hard copy for my collection.
Now, with these delays, same old, same old... B.S. I'm canceling mine. I know one person aint gonna make a difference, but I'm hoping several others will as well, and maybe one day someone will show prince or his managers or whomever that "look, all these preorders, then the delays, and all these cancellations, we lost a lot of sales because of this." Yeah, probably never go down that way, or make any difference, but it's the principal of it. And I KNOW I will still see that book and hear that music... | |

I dont really understand why you should feel that strongly about a delay? What difference does it make to you, really? Why get all testy about it? I think in a world of bootlegs and leaked set lists, album lists etc etc companies feel the need to pre-release stuff to try and stop the thievery. So what if its delayed and they cant live up to the original planned release date? You canceling wont make one jot of difference to the final sales of that book. Did you think maybe there will be events around it like the perfume release? Maybe Prince wants to be in the UK for the first release and back home for the US release?
