Prince on the Akashic records. Prince on the Akashic records.
In the song, "Family name," Prince discusses a library of generations and their history. Why do you think that Prince does this? "The Lion Sleeps Tonight...

Is the song about the Akashic records? I don't believe it is...It is very possibly about who the Akashic records is named after? "The Lion Sleeps Tonight...

Another known alias....hmmmm. What's in a name? Is it just the outside layer of your skin which is also an ouside layer? Maybe Akasha see's things differently. Basia,,,says it right..."If only we could see through other people's eyes...we would understand eachother's hearts." The introspection...was not in searching for the electronic's and the technology to prove that everyone could be watched from the tower...It was to show us, that we don't need that kind of inspection...we can clearly see love, if it is there. According to Wikipedia and a google.com search, the Akashic Records appears to be real. It is not an alter ego of Prince or alias. He was just getting deep in the meaning of The Rainbow Children.
The akashic records (akasha is a Sanskrit word meaning "sky", "space" or "aether") is a term used in theosophy to describe a compendium of mystical knowledge encoded in a non-physical plane of existence. These records are described to contain all knowledge of human experience and the history of the cosmos. They are metaphorically described as a library and other analogues commonly found in discourse on the subject include a 'universal computer' and the 'Mind of God'. Descriptions of the records assert that they are constantly updated and that they can be accessed through astral projection. The concept originated in the theosophical movements of the 19th Century, and remains prevalent in New Age discourse. For more check out this google search.

Even Archangel Michael...has a history...and Michael...protects a book that is called, "The forgiveness of Eve." Love can see love...If you can see that Heaven is anchored to the floor...than you can see love. "The Lion Sleeps Tonight...

Never thought I'd see a Basia reference in this forum. 'Orginary People'

In the song, "Family name," Prince discusses a library of generations and their history. Why do you think that Prince does this? Because he wants to sound like he knows what he's talking about, when he really just was browsing the Internet & thought 'Oh, this sounds cool. People will eat this up.' Then he added the Darth Vader voice & made people want to vomit.

well you've pretty much answered your own question with that
wikipedia entry. that's roughly correct as to detailing what the akashic records are. pretty much, imo, what prince is trying to say with this: "we found this tape in the akashic records" followed by thomas jefferson's lines is that history is much more than what was recorded or what was written down and how it was written down. if you could pull files from the akashic records you would be able to see people in very different ways from how they have been remembered by historians of their time. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps
