Huh.. lol ..we play all kinds of music...here's a few African-Americans who play/played guitar, be it rock, jazz, blues, soul(r&b)...we do it ll

Chuck Berry
BB King
Buddy Guy
Lenny Kravitz
Jimi Hendriz
Vernon Reid
Bo Diddley
Stanley Clarke
Marcus Miller
Beverly "Guitar" Watson
Rissi Palmer
Sister Rosetta Tharpe

and if you go to any of those people concert you will see very few if any black people because they don't play black people music!

Not true at all. It all depends on what the individual likes hearing. You have electronica/new wave/afropunk that's out now, but doesn't get a lot of cover on the radio that is put out by musicians of color, which a lot of people wouldn't think Black people would enjoy hearing. Go to Brooklyn, NY or various clubs ns throughout Manhattan, asd clubs all over the U.S, where these type of artists show up to give shows with that type of music (JDavey;Kudu, etc.) just to name a few. JDavey has a large following in NY and LA;Kudu has a large following in NY...my son and some of my nieces/nephews and their friends are into that type of music. No labels, just music.

Black people are not monolithic;our choice of artists/musicians vary in
our taste for music and so do their fans. The days of locking Black people into liking only one type of music is over. We vary in our tastes for music.

Remember, Prince's music cannot be categorized and that is why his music reaches across the globe because you just can't put it in one box. He does, rock& jazz, r&b, pop, latin, reggae sound, spiritual songs, etc....it's called music w/no limits.

Define "Black people music"... confused

music that black people enjoy the most and other races usually follow but blacks enjoy it first

Yet you refused to allow Rock 'n' Roll into this catagory because it wasn't in the BET awards?

Okay, I've had about enough now, so I'll chime in. WTF is "good Black people music"!?!?? Music is music. Period. Across all races, colors, creeds, it's music.

It sounds as if you live in an era of about 40 years ago.

{Cue up hillbilly-don't-know-*-about-life twang:}

"Did you hear that song by that high-yella feller with the women's panties on? That sounds like some good ol' wholesome black people music!"
