Wembley 1986 - Damn, is this guy good or WHAT?

I'm listening to a recording of the August 13/14 1986 Parade tour at Wembley Stadium (on LP, no less!). One of the first bootlegs I ever got.

Holy CRAP was Prince on fire. Wow, what a show. And except for the "Purple Rain" solo, he played NO guitar. Hell, he didn't play much of anything, but DID. HE. ROCK.

A true gem.

I was there!!! The Wembley Parade tour show was my first Prince concert (however, I saw the show indoors at Wembley Arena). I had been a fan for a couple of years, and nearly didn't get to go as I booked a coach trip from my home town (120 miles south west of London) which included the journey and the ticket, and due to lack of sales (!!!!!) they returned my money with just a few days to go. I will always be grateful to my now ex husband, as even though we were in the process of splitting up - he knew how much I wanted to go, so drove us to London on the day, and he got tickets from a tout while I sat in the car panicking - first that we wouldn't get tickets - then when we did that they were not real!! My fears were unfounded though, and we both had the most amazing time, and although I have now seen many Prince concerts, I can still remember the thrill of that night.
