Prince = Little Richard Im a fan of both, i used to thougt why people compared this two.
I didnt see the simmilarites in the music, but that was until i saw him perform in live vids I thougt, man that is Princes brother! So how much impact do you think his style had on Prince? Is it just coincidense? [Edited 8/7/08 17:31pm] Freedom is to trust that you're doing what you must according to your lust

Yes, honey. That style I believe is called FAGGOTRY. Prince and little Richard have done very much to advance the aesthetics of dandyism and faggotry in our culture. All we can do is applaud them, really.

[Edited 8/7/08 21:03pm] maybe, Elvis used mascara, but I'm sure Little richard used a lot more than that before Elvis. Prince is a fantastic homage to Little Richard, mainly in his imagery and sexuality.

Prince is a fantastic homage to Little Richard, mainly in his imagery and sexuality. One of the first to wear it in an overtly obvious manner. Elvis and Jerry Lee and the like wore more subtle makeup, just none in such a flamboyant way as did Richard and his spawn did -glam rockers, new wavers, goths, punks, metalheads and emo "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

The Architect. For sure. But not the same. Not at all, but without LR, his act certainly would look a lot different. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

Don't forget LR's appearance on Leno a few years back. Mr. Big Chin brought up how Prince's act is similar in some ways, and Richard responded with some kind of shriek and said he'd "like to take that kid across his knee..." "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

Prince does a good job of showing his influence from James Brown and Little Richard. Little Richard gave James Brown his big break by the way then James Brown gave it to Bootsie Collins who also influence Prince. I love how Prince created his own w/o ripping anyone totally off. Ah RockNRoll, gift from GOD!!

Twinkly1 said: brocklynn said: I love Little Richard, but Prince is no Little Richard, nor does he look like him. Maybe not, but someone did a thread a couple years ago and posted pics of both. You had to identify which were Prince and which were Little Richard. NO ONE got them all right. It was scary.
