I remember seeing a picture of prince along time ago where he is wearing a black shirt and black leather coat with gold arabic writing on them. Whats the story I mean did prince become a muslim for a while. If you have the photo can you post it here so I can see it again. Thanks.

Prince would usually release an album themed with an idea, style of clothes, hairdo, associated colours and a font (e.g. peach and black for 'Sign O' The Times' era). Certain ideas would run across albums (e.g. the idea of 'new power', the evolving use of princebonics etc).

I can't recall the picture your describing but the era used a very arabic style font on the album and Act I and II tours, together with the depiction of Mayte playing the part of a young princess from Egypt in video and comic book story lines.

So it's Symbol era - there was a minor egyptian/arabic theme going on. If you've seen the 3 Chains of Gold video you can see that the whole concept was pretty flimsy. I don't think there was much to it other than Mayte was a belly dancer and he wanted her to be some kind of Egyptian princess. Kinda lame.

For godsake people stop being so uptight its a joke the fact it prince goes through religions like mcdonalds goes through cows. I didnt know the story behind this picture so there was every chance prince could have gone through a muslim stage. Also whats the fact Im white got to do with whether he was a muslim or not?
