Both complete genius when it comes to music but who has the edge. For me prince is a far better guitarist but I think stevie is a better songwriter. So that is 1-1. So let go to singing well stevie has an amazing tone to his voice but prince has a bigger range. Oh I cant decide what do you think who has the edge????

For me, Prince has a better grasp of a far greater range of styles and is a more captivating performer. I think P could do whatever Stevie does but not vice versa. I also think Prince has been more controversial and challenging in a lot of his ideas and that ultimately he has had a greater influence on more people. Stevie is/was great but can you imagine him spanning as many genres as Prince in one concert. They make a great double act though - esp on 'Superstition' - a real funk monster!
