I used to be a fan of both MJ and Prince, but it just became more obvious, to me anyway, that musically Prince is much more of a risk taker. Prince, to me, is about the music. Even during the fight with WB, the name change, slave on the face, etc., you get the feeling all Prince really wants to do is get on a stage, pick up a guitar and tear the roof off the mutha. MJ, on the other hand, is all about the hype and the numbers. The #1's and the record sales are more important than the actual music to MJ, imo. I get the feeling that if MJ never performed live again, it wouldn't bother him all that much. To me, MJ doesn't have that fire or passion for music that Prince does. I mean, Prince will play a 2 or 2 1/2 hour concert, then play maybe another 2 hours or so at an aftershow. That's a musician, y'all! Can't see MJ doing that. All the great Friday night/Saturday morning performances out at Paisley Park the past few years are a testament to the fact that although he fell of the mainstream radar years ago, Prince's passion for music is as strong as ever. Anyways, that's just a few of the reasons I've stuck with Prince for 25 years, and ditched MJ. Also is doesn't hurt that Prince is still so damn fine, and MJ looks like a blind man took a weed wacker to his face. DITTO!!! Thanks, saved me a lot of typing...

Wouldn't you cry too, paying big money to see a live concert and the artist onstage lip-synching 90% of the show?

bit of a contradiction that is I said Michale Jackson FANATICS(the ones who diss Prince) , not FANS,there's a difference. I like Michale Jakson too, just not as much as Prince, calm down. ~KiKi

He often lip-syncs when he's stood still doing a ballad though, the only physical exertion is hugging lil kids to "Heal The World" yet he mimes nonetheless. Miming is too insulting for my tastes (Prince has done it on some TV appearances and awards shows, not in concert though), they may as well just dance or just play the music video on a screen. Don't have a lil headset mic attached and pretend to sing, be honest...

Speaking of MJ, wonder what his message boards were like when he made his plea about being "innocent"...
... & how the police "took pictures of my penis & other errrs..." Uh, can the boy pronounce "areas"??? What do they do to the english language in Indiana anyway?

BAD tour '88 - 100% live as far as i could tell (though he was at his peak, this was the best show i have ever seen by anyone, ever.) Dangerous tour 92 - 60% (the rot set in.Why open with 'jam' (miming) then follow with another energetic number like 'wanna be startin something' and sing that live? History tour 97 - wasn't worth going. The only things i can remember him singing live was Janet's parts in 'Scream' bizarrely enough, and the J5 medley.

Wanna Be Startin' was. So was the J5 medley and the Off The Wall medley (1st part of tour). Everything else was lip synched, xept 4 some ad-lib vocals (YANA, Heal the world, ...). I think the main reason is that his voice just cannot handle a full scale tour, he even had vocal problems at the 30th anniversary concerts. "It's better 2 B hated 4 what U R than 2 B loved 4 what U R not."

Prince Fans hate on MJ..But MJ fans don't hate on Prince!
Go and check out how often The MJ fans list Prince to be a Genius on the MJ messageboard: ~~~ I personally don't have a problem with MJ at all, I think he's just as talented as anyone else. However I do like Prince a lil more. Dreaming permits each and every one of us to be quietly and safely insane every night of our lives.

That is a great photo of Prince. I bet MJ wished he looked that good. Sorry MJ, no amount of surgery would pull off that miracle.
