PrintableReligion and sex always went hand in hand, all his albums are filled with both.
We seem to forget that this man was 30 years younger when he started making music so sex was so much more important than nowadays. Imagine the very beginning, him being that gorgeous and talented, starting to get powerful and successful and tons and tons of people throwing themselves in front of him. Of course sex ruled religion. Through the years, after getting laid a zillion times, he learned about "the truth" and what has become more and more important to him. Which is religion before sex, it is a security in a life filled with insecurities. | |

I didn't say that religion is good for music. I said it was good for Prince. There are some musicians who made great spiritual music. Aretha Franklin Curtis Mayfield Marvin Gaye Yusef Islam All religious or spiritual music doesn't sound like crap like Stryper!!! I'm not even a Gospel fan, or a religious person. Don't forget AL GREEN and BOBBY WOMACK! soulful dudes who meshed sexy and spirituality quite well. I think the two go hand in hand for Prince.
