2) would you abandon or DIS him for doing such a "schmaltzy" song
because of your expectations of him artistically, i.e.,
his status/history as an original composer, etc.?

3) could you see any value in this "exercise" for him OR others?

as a musician, i ponder doing SONGS that i think are musically GOOD, but got a bum rap.

i would ask you to consider the melancholy lyrical genius that was "go go dancer".
