This was the closest Prince ever got to doing a 'punk' song. Its not punk but it's punk influenced. "Sister" was always better live than on the album imo. The last time I heard him play "Sister" live was on the Lovesexy tour. Didn't play the whole sung but it was kickin' regardless. the music knows what your motives are when you are making it
