Didn't we have this topic...like...less than a month ago? We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

due 2 the hair on his chest man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

Sorry, I just came on board less than a month ago. I thought it might have something to do with a 'hairy chest,' but even so that's rather retarded and random. What's even more disturbing is Prince's nelly "stahhhp!" reaction after she touches him. So manly! break THE purple GoD

I thought it was because they filmed that scene in a temporary studio on top of the Empire State Building.

The film is poorly edited. Did you notice the scene where they met for the 2nd time in front of the pawn shop? When he said "You're lying, I can tell by your reaction you're lying. blahblahblah its not yours anymore" Come to think of it, I think this is another episode of A Star Is Born, when they chopped off Judy Garland's movie to no end,,,they had to re-vamp the deleted scenes back in 1982 to make the movie MORE sensible. Thr PR special edition DVD should've included those damn deleted scenes: The Jellybean fight. The farm scene The Morris Day in Frances L.'s house scene. The "Wednesday" Jill Jones scene. And I'm sure there're more

I always thought she said "King Dong", obviously complimenting the man on his organ. The expanded version of my book PRINCE and The Purple Rain Era Studio Sessions 1983-1984 was released in November 2018. Well...she didn't really say anything. He said "who gave it to you?" She says "a person" then he says "male or female" she just says "huh?" and then he says "you're lying" I always thought that didn't make sense, too. Lying about what, she said "huh?"

Because she's like "What the shit? You're the girliest man I've ever seen yet here you are with a chest that'd make a giant monkey feel insecure!"

When she says "Huh?" she's stalling for time. If someone really had given her the ankle bracelet, she would have been able to answer the question right away. The Kid is saying that, because of that reaction, he can tell that she's lying about someone giving it to her. It all makes sense.
