I saw the poster at the Controversy concert where they were selling t-shirts, tour programs and other posters. The freak thing was they weren't selling that one. The lady at the stand said it wasn't for sell. It was just for promos.

For me really was 81 -83. His Controversy/1999 era was the shit. I was happy and excited and giddy when Purple Rain was going on but it was different. Because Prince all of a sudden was EVERYWHERE. On the radio, on MTV, in mainstream magazines, etc. All the time. U couldn't go ANYWHERE without hearing When Doves, Let's Go Crazy and Erotic City. Plus Jungle Love, The Bird, The Glam Life, Sex Shooter....That wasn't how it was in 81-83. He was still somewhat cult-ish although he had major airplay on MTV with LRC.
