The Purple Fest. With his latest performance at Coachella this brings me to an idea. I've been thinking that some large artist should have a festival featuring rave and gothic music. I wa thinking someone like Nine Inch Nails or Depeche Mode. But Prince is bigger and also likes Rock and other kinds of alternative music. DO you think it possible that Prince could hold a national or even international festival featuring Rock,Rap,Rave,Punk, and Gothic artists.
P would of course be the headliner. Maybe he could get Lenny Kravits or Geoerge Clinton to come play with him. Only other question is what to call it. The mostly likely answer is The Purple Fest. Working up a purple sweat. | |

Yeah he could do it, especially if the world ends in 2012.
We could all the Paisley Park family together. Sheila E, Sheena Easton. Appolnia, The Tine, Rosie Gaines, Jill Jones, The Revoloution,Carmen ELectra, Mayte, Tevin Cambell, Jodey Watley,a Vanity could even come along and do some Gospel We could even have Chaka Khan and Lenny Kravitz. There's be the mainstage where the Paisley Park and big performers would perform. Then there's be other substages and tents. One or a few for Hip Hop, Rock, Punk, Rave,a nd Goth. We could all gather in the desert on December 21st 2012 and wait for the aliens to come get us. Purple Fest 2012...the ascension. Then we'd watch the comet destroy the Earth for the grand fireworks show. Prince would open with a new version of 1999...."They say 2000 one two party over oops ascend 2 sky. The Purple Rain era outfit is sooo goth. He even experiments with electronics. I know alot of goths and ravers like Prince. He's basically the world's biggest goth in disguise. I think he should have a live pay per view performance on HBO or something and incorporate the best of what you mentioned above as opening acts. He would make a fucking killing. | |
