Is bill oddie on this site?

Does anybody know if bill oddie is on this site going under a different name I know hes a massive prince fan and he turned me onto the truth album with an article he did for q magazine so I want to thank him for that. Also if your a massive prince fan celebrity or not theres not really that many places to go only the org or the quake (or as I like to call it the mods wet dream). lol

Ha ha, I remember the surreal double take i had to do on that article. I think he said Dirty Mind was his favourite Prince record, which to me was crazy as it's Bill Odie.....any way - he also gave props to the Family's album, and also the Truth. He's definitely a true fan, and i wouldnt be surprised if he does purvey tis site. I find Springwatch surprisingly compelling viewing.

Ah yes, the Bill Oddie connection. I've mentioned before on this site that what most folks don't realize is that Bill was one of the first Prince fans in Europe!!

He was at the first ever UK Prince gig in London, Dirty Mind tour. Maybe that's why he loves the album so much, although it's one of my faves too. Bill's actually a serious music fan and wrote most of the music on his TV show "The Goodies".

So if you're on here Bill, respect to you. The first single I ever bought was Funky Gibbon, one of my first albums was World Of The Goodies!! I still want to hear his version of "On Ilkley Moor B'aht Hat" which he recorded in the style of Joe Cocker's "With A Little Help..." and released on Andrew Loog-Oldham's Immediate Records.

I was a kid in the 70's when the goodies were on. pure genius in the early days, i still get flashbacks to 'ecky thump', a giant cat on post office tower, seem to remember giant versions of the magic roundabout characters as well. i still get the urge to shoot people with squeezy ketchup bottles! lol

Loved the Goodies, my dad has their albums on vinyl.

I really should buy those dvd's.

If Bill is on here, good on him. he should say hello, Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca) was once on theforce.net he survived a torrent of questions and had a good time. i'd be intrigued to find out what Bill thought of P's lean years and stuff.

C'mon Mr Oddie, stop twitching for a moment! smile
