Yeah, it's a very short, with just piano ballad. Some people think I'm kinda cute
But that don't compute when it comes 2 Y-O-U.

Interesting. Thanks. No problem. The lyrics go something like this. ???? called U, U weren't even home Needed someone 2 talk 2 - hate it When I'm all alone - contemplating suicide From twelve 'o clock to two If U're not back by Wednesday There's no telling what I Might do [Edited 7/4/08 20:15pm] Some people think I'm kinda cute

Why is Prince fascinated with death? Violent death? Suicide?
OK, I'll stop... | |

It's not circulating. However, Prince does sing a verse from it during a straight-to-tape session of piano improvisations recorded sometime in 1983. It's often mis-credited as being called "There's No Telling What I Might Do". This is what people who claim to have heard it are referring to. This session has been circulating on bootleg for many years. It also includes a couple of other unreleased improvised jams tentatively titled; "Cold Coffee and Cocaine" and "Mama" as well as versions of "Strange Relationship" and "International Lover". The actual full studio version of "Wednedsay" intended for Purple Rain has never surfaced. Though it is known that the final version was supposed to be sung by Jill Jones in the movie. . So does this mean that the fabled original double purple rain OST LP actually existed at some point ?

[Edited 7/5/08 1:29am] Ah!! Then I likely have heard it years ago and forgot. I once had a vinyl boot of piano sessions -- of horrible quality -- with "Mama" on it. Most of it left me cold, but "Mama" was memorable, if too short. [Edited 7/5/08 5:48am] Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

That is interesting...because, I was going through familiar songs in my mind that mentioned days of the week...and Wednesday...was the day...I couldn't think of existing in a song...although I later realized that..."She's leaving home." by the Beatles.. does say it's wednesday morning. "The Lion Sleeps Tonight...

[Edited 7/5/08 1:29am] The scene was shot I distinctly remember one of you guys posting the pic of Jill Jones on a piano with a Navy hat on during the "Purple Rain" 20th anniversary DVD era. Clearly an outtake pic from the movie/ It would've been intersting to hear that song. That gem came outta Prince/Jill turbulent relationship. Speaking of turbulent, I wish he kept the master tape of the original Empty Room recording from 86.

Definitely not... Purple Rain was never a double album at any point. That story is just one of those false rumors that just won't seem to die.

I just changed the name of it in my library. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.
