Who plays the saxophone on "Desire?" I am thinking of the version of "Desire" which appears on Volume 1, Disc 4 of "The Work." I'm not sure if there are other versions. I'm wondering who plays the saxophone on that track. It's one of my favorite sax lines from a Prince song.

I have a version of Prince singing the lead on this song. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Prince's version of Desire was never released but it is avaliale on The Work Volume 1 CD4 Some people think I'm kinda cute
But that don't compute when it comes 2 Y-O-U.

The rehearsal of Desire is so great..I absolutely love it. More than the studio version. It has a crazy guitar solo and sax solo. It's a more slow bluesy, soul version, tottaly different from the studio version. [Edited 7/3/08 15:02pm] Some people think I'm kinda cute

[Edited 7/3/08 15:02pm] The demo of desire is absolutley superb far superior to the Family LP version. I wish I had Prince's demos to that whole Family album as quality aside, i prefer the three i have. Prince & Eric Leeds sure did make some magical tracks together.

Thanks for the information.
Yeah; I'm thinking of the version of Desire with Prince on vocals, and the sax gradually swirling in the background until it hits a fantastic but brief solo at the end. It's one of my favorite Prince outtakes.
