Let's think about where Prince was in the late 80s. Batdance, Alphabet Street, "Don't buy the Black Album, I'm sorry" - he just totally lost his cool. Not to mention the dumb stuff the band had to wear during the Lovesexy tour. The promo pix of the band outside of Paisley and the stadium say it all.

Keith was right on the money.

Sorry but people think pretty highly of "Lovesexy Era and I do not care what any of one thinks "The Batman soundtrack" fits the film. P was hired to do music for a movie and he actully did a decent job.

I know Keith has used a lot of drugs so I expect him to make stupid statements.

People on Prince.org think pretty highly of Lovesexy; pretty much no other people think of it at all. And that's fine. I do think you have to be a fam on some level to really enjoy it though.

Prince did a great job on Batman and it was huge, good for him.

No disrespect but I don't think you have to be a 'fam' to enjoy Lovesexy.

You either like it or you don't.
Shut up already, damn.

You need to read more music reviews concerning the Lovesexy era. Lots of people outside of Prince.org think highly of it.

Me liking it in 1988 was kind of a stretch, and I was a diehard Princehead at the time. I might look at it more fondly these days had the jackass not released it as a one-track cd; I'm not going to deal with that nonsense.

Two things I really did like about it: 'When 2 r in love' and the naked-Prince-on-a-flower cover
